Hello, I'm looking at a position within Paypal. My question, what is the work life balance, expectation for office (hybrid/remote/other) and is the pay comparable to other companies? Reviewing Director and Senior Director roles on the business side. I have over 15 years experience with multiple degrees. TIA!
Can folks from PwC share how exactly your all remote model works? So, an employee opting for remote works with any team across time zones ? Or across states in same time zone? Also, how do you staff on / find a project? Are there people working totally with teams outside their office, as say nobody or few in their own group/ office opted for remote model? Would that be true?

I was on a team like this that stressed me out. It taught me to mute group chats if there’s not time sensitive projects, I’ve asked people to @ me if it’s something that needs an immediate response, and I will put on hard stops etc if I want to make sure I am not being expected to answer after hours. Overall my company is pretty good about letting you push back if needed, it’s the different working styles that create friction most of the time. I’m now on a different team with a much different dynamic and it’s very low stress!
Nice! Thanks for sharing
Yes, I turn off all audio pings and it helps a bit.
Get an analog mouse jiggler for your work laptop, and uninstall any phone apps that link to your work.
That's a super cool idea! I'm gonna check that out.
I, unfortunately, have found that the creative team is the team that is expected to always be available when needed, including late nights and weekends.
I think regardless of your position, it’s important to set boundaries and stick to them. When my teams learn that I am not available after hours or that I have met my bandwidth for the day, they somehow find a solution themselves or find the approval to push the ask into the next business day.
That realization is where I'm at but I'd really love for reality to change. Good to know that making and sticking to boundaries has helped. I should try that!
