Oh there is plenty of potential for upward mobility but you’ll still be overworked and underpaid. I’m afraid you can’t avoid those two in the public accounting industry. Until you make partner of course.

People like smaller firms because you get a broader range of exposure compared to specializing in one industry or only working on one or two targets. Of course, that experience comes at the cost of the name recognition or resources of a larger firm. It’s all about weighing pros and cons and deciding what’s best for you
Crowe will lie to you about everything. I hate that place with passion and only worked there for 7 weeks. They will lie to you during the interview and then treat you like a plastic bag. You don’t know how good you have it until you go and work for them. Good thing seniors are in high demand and got multiple offers within a week. They messed me up big time. Such a toxic place

Ex-Crowe here. It’s actually a great company and you’re treated very well! Given the appropriate circumstances I would not pass up an opportunity to go back!
