I’m in an in-house brand management dept and we’re trying to change our operations from a request-based service to one based on strategy. We’ve found that our expertise is rarely heard; instead we’re used as a “free” service (opposed to spending funds for a third party). This means our backlog is stuffed with vanity pieces that rarely see the light of day.
