Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Unfortunately your current agency has shown their cards. They don’t want to invest in you.
Fortunately for you, you now know where you stand. I’d start hunting for a place that will value the skill set and experience you have.
I got a great piece of advice from an ECD when I was an intern: Follow the work and everything else will follow. If you do great work, build a great portfolio and earn great recognition, you will have a lot of bargaining chips. So go wherever you can do that. Especially early on.
Why are you even asking? Go. Find your place. It’s not where you are currently.
Never be scared to try something new. That said, always be honest with yourself when considering what may be impacting your current role, so you can try to make things better in your new role. A lot of times when someone says “I’ve met all the criteria to be promoted”, they may still need to work on factors like leadership, maturity, accounts, etc. and the manager didn’t know how to express that. I know that’s hard to hear / recognize in yourself, but if those are the types of things you need to work on, moving to a new job won’t solve the underlying issue.

Being “a little scared” is always a good thing. It means you are facing a challenge. I do have a question about “getting screwed out of a huge, nationally recognized TV campaign”. How does that happen? How did it get taken away from you?
Take the money.
All of the above is great advice. Your agency isn’t currently invested in you. Whether they’re in the right or not is somewhat irrelevant if you don’t understand their side of things or you believe you’ve show yourself to be an asset worth the investment.
Your options are to either learn what would make you valuable to your agency and push forward in that direction or move on to a place that may have more of a need for what you’re already delivering. Simple as that.
Good luck!
Go.
