Don’t sweat it as long as you aren’t padding (and if you are, don’t).
Maybe I should clarify. I’m referring to questioning whether hours are too high. At what point does the firm seriously question whether padding is happening?
FYI, I’m not padding but just wondering if I’m going to have to waste time defending my hours. Which is frustrating after working hard then being questioned for it. May not happen but still.
Set expectations at the beginning for how long you think it will take, and update as you go as to how much time you have put in and think it will take to finish. Not always easy but it’s a helpful CYA
