We have a bunch of low performers that need to be cleaned out. If we want to continue to grow aggressively, we need to have top performers and make the tough decision to get rid of those unable to keep up. Sorry for those caught up in this obviously, but it's a part of this business.
ATI only has double digit growth this year because of shit years in the past few years... No one is looking at it holistically!
That said, the review calls this cycle were tougher than in previous years and that's due to a number of factors such as time to Partner and trying to reduce our overall G&A costs. They already slashed non-consulting folks, have cut back on training, and increased refresh rates on laptops. Now it's time to go after the consultants. Just wished they would kick out the low performing Partners!
EY1.... that's super inappropriate. Dick.
A4, how do you guys evaluate low and high performers? Is it through utilization like big4 or client ratings?
Robotic Process Automation. Falls under Digital Transformation workstream.
Timing would line up with mid-year announcements, but agree with low performer comment - too much slack at ATK
A10 are the people let go less than a year within general practice or PAS
Man, look at ATK2 trying to pretend s/he works for Deloitte.
Following. Makes sense that ATI would be spared. Those guys are never on the beach for more than a few days and are actively trying to get others to transfer over from other practices.
Those are not lay-offs, it's a mid-year out counseling, a bit more aggressive than usual due to reduced TIG
Cleaning up low chargeability folks or what?
Perhaps their clients include DoT. But that's not the point of this thread.
RPA?
Performance is based on contribution to the client, then firm. The key driver of these types of decisions seems to be an evaluation of the ability to make it to the next level in the firm.
Interesting. But how does such layoffs align with your v2020?

Bump
ATK13- They also seem to be growing the fastest within the firm. Double digit growth even when other practices slowed down this year.
So did the mid year review ratings come out already? Haven't seen any communication.
The individuals hear it first. The firm will hear next week
Exactly what ATK16 said.
Was Goetz Klink a big loss for you guys?
