My agency technically has unlimited PTO but our managers quietly disapprove of the policy. It’s the kind of place where people make you feel guilty for taking it... (cont)
Thoughts on Capital One 360 Savings account? Not the highest APY at 1.50%, but there is a cash bonus promotion ranging from $100-$500 (depending on amount deposited) happening right now... seems worth it? Have the Capital One Venture Card and have been very happy with their customer service thus far. App is super great too.
Am I the only one that thinks that unlimited PTO is a terrible idea? Sound great on paper but would you actually take 20-25 days off per year if there was someone keeping tab?
If you’re interviewing with funds, is it in your benefit to let other HHs know about it, in a way to say “hey I’m valuable send me more opportunities”? E.g. if I were 2nd or 3rd round at a fund I connected with through headhunter A, should I let headhunter B know this is happening in the hopes that they’ll push my application more?
Does Marriott ever upgrade your status level from Platinum to Platinum Elite? Missed it by 3 nights at 72 :(. Part of me is happy because less time on road but at least 20 nights in nonMarriott hotels
Can’t find any Marriott stays even close to 0.8 cents per point no matter how many times I search the Bonvoy app. What gives?
Bonvoy question - if I stay at a different hotel each night when traveling will I get more points?
Should I get bonvoy points for a stay my company paid for directly? It was a $2,200 stay so I would like my points. So far I’ve only received points for my $20 bar tab. 🥴
I have both the Marriott and spg cards. Does anyone know if I'll get 2 free nights and double the yearly nights in August? Trying to determine if I should cancel one
Just got back from 2 week long PTO and the only emails in my inbox are the mass corporate ones... Did I get fired without knowing it? Lol
Is there any way to turn down a bad (unbillable role, non expensable, hour long commute) project if you’re a first year associate?
Currently working as a RE Project Manager. What are some skills/resources/certs I can pick up or focus on during my downtime to make a me a stronger candidate when trying to exit to a Tech Company? Curious to hear the thoughts of my fellow fish.
