Backdoor Roth ira question: i am above the income limit to contribute in roth ira. In order to do backdoor roth IRA, i transfer money from my checking account to traditional ira and later transfer from traditional to roth ira. My understanding is since money was already taxed(checking account), it will not be taxed when transferred from traditional to roth ira and neither i need to pay tax on it at withdrawal once eligible. I don’t get why even the most reputable financial news still try to attribute market moves to people. It’s not individual investors who are in control of day-to-day moves anymore, it’s algorithms.

Transferring IRA from Vanguard to Fidelity - do I have to liquidate my holdings?

My partner and I are in the process of buying a PHEV that qualifies for the full non-refundable federal tax credit.
