In rlly good at case interviews and a TERRIBLE consultant so
You can’t be bad at case interviews and work at McKinsey as a consultant I don’t think
McKinsey does a lot more than just strategy nowadays. So depends what you do and what you had to do to get the job
Sorry what? Don’t you work at McKinsey?
I'm a BA and been interviewing for corp strat recently.
Tbh prob cause my handwriting is horrible...cannot read my data so I miss out on info or misread my numbers lol
i dont even know how to solve a case, nor had to 😂 been consulting for 5 years now
Same.
You can absolutely be bad at case studies and work at MBB. LOL.
I think this is objectively not true. If you were bad at case studies you wouldn’t pass an interview
I'm pretty "bad" at case interviews when the interviewer expects a cookie cutter thought process, but I'm considered one of the stronger strategy consultants in my practice.
When your hiring process is entirely subjective, a similar approach results in different outcomes
At McKinsey it's not subjective. The recruiting people gone through great lengths to make it extremely unbiased / fact-based
