Hi fishes,
I’m a fresher and have recently completed my internship as an Operations manager at Amazon. I am currently looking for FT opportunities. I came across and opening at Maersk for the role of Business Analyst. Could anyone refer me for the role or maybe point me to a suitable opportunity?
thanks!

That's fucked up OP you should ask for points
Sounds like someone who's a feminist when it's convenient for her
Be happy you have a girlfriend and take out the trash
I have lost friends over arguing against the notion that fighting for women's rights should involved discriminating against or ignoring those of men.
Just do it and then tell her to get her ass up and make some sammiches.
That's pretty lame A1...Hopefully he doesn't have an inferiority complex like that.
Maybe she is just lazy. It depends on how she said it, it could even be a joke. It's hard to always be politically correct when it's between the two of you.
Jk no I don't think she's in the right either. Unless it's disposing large items, trash duty isn't really something that necessitates a male's unique strength advantage to make it a "man's job"
@ba1 he won't get points unless he goes public via twitter.
Ey2- seriously?? Are you a feminist? OP if you somehow assumed that your girlfriend would be the one to raise the kids if you ever got married you assumed roles too. Does she cook for you more often than you do her? It doesn't sound like she's waiting for convenience, it sounds like she thinks trash is gross like most people and just wants you to do it- not a man whose job it is. Just not her.
P3 she LITERALLY called it a boys chore. None of your analogies are valid in this situation.
P3 the only information we were given is that she specified the chore was meant for men. You then came to the conclusion that she in fact meant the opposite with literally no additional information. OPs point was that roles should not be assumed..
I agree with your point P3. We don't always choose the best language to talk to our loved ones. Some words are not meant to be taken too seriously. I don't think my SO is a woman hater when he asks me to go make a sandwich. Lol
Ah dang. Worst part about this I totally forgot to take out the damn trash.
Sorry for trying to offer another point of view of what might be happening. I sometimes jokingly say that trash is a boys chore too and yet here I am taking our the trash daily. I totally agree that roles shouldn't be assumed. Maybe she and he are both assuming roles was my comment.
I'm sorry to be pedantic or contradictory but I hear and see all the time commentary that we shouldn't make those types of jokes (make me a sandwich etc.) because it contributes to heteronormativity and even rape culture. I'm not saying YOU hold that view, just realize that some of us who would feel the same way are a little gun shy due to the responses we get.
PWC 1 - your goal in life is to never be a part of a conversation where someone uses heteronormativity. That individual is weak and their goal is to suck into their cesspool of self loathing
