Stay within your area of expertise. It’s really hard these days to start a new vector. I hear you. Been there. Try to find a niche within retail that gives you a gasp of fresh air.

I’d like to see what recommendations you get. I am in the same boat. Retail banking for 7yrs. Got my securities licenses to try something different, then went into business banking, and now I’m back as a financial center manager and I need a change.

I’m in a similar situation, and I’m looking into and interviewing for a couple of remote/hybrid positions that deal with BSA/AML/KYC analysis and risk and control analysis. You have an edge from having to deal with those regulations in retail anyway, and I’ve learned they pay handsomely in comparison to a standard retail banker.

I’ve gotten an intro call for a KYC Analyst role and have interviewed for a Risk Analyst role, both with UBS

Try back office IB/AM or maybe credit analyst somewhere?

startup Gig Alert: I am looking for a brand designer to join our startup team at Lifelines (truly a startup and we’re not in stores yet). We’re a product company set for revolutionizing how people approach sensorial wellness and I’m looking for someone with holistic experience in branding / art direction with a clear, bold visual style. Around 5 years of experience preferred. But work and personality trump years in experience. Always remote+unlimited PTO. Send me books / portfolios.

Hello fishes
It’s been a month that HR told me that they’ll release offer, but it seems that approval is still in progress, is it normal?

When should I worry about the legal structure and finance of the company?

Is there a cheat sheet to how to startup, till exit?

Please provide valuable inputs.

I make 135k gross/year & am looking at apartments in a tier 2 city. 2k for a 1 bedroom or 3k for a 2 bedroom? I’ll be working from home and living by myself & a pup. The hesitancy is 3k is basically one of my paychecks after taxes. I live frugally otherwise with the exception of eating at a nice restaurant once a week. Is a two bedroom worth it?

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?
