Lateral hire, having an intro call with a Director at my new firm in an industry I want to join. How do I make sure I don’t waste their time with silly or redundant questions?

I have a friend who just started a new job-went from a big ad agency to a small start up. The boss at the new job wants to create the company website to show generic work. No actual clients, just work with made up company names. They have many clients that they work with-but won’t show them online. I have never heard of this? Why would someone do that? Isn’t it counterproductive to show fake companies and work? How can they discourage their boss that’s not a good idea without offending them?

I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). Stop taking American jobs.” I am an immigrant yes, but I have a graduate degree from one of the target schools and have worked my a*$ off to be where I am. I laughed it off then but now I regret letting it go that easily.

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.

Today I got TCS offer and I put doj as 25th Oct in Portal as I have another offer of 25 th joining date. I heard from somewhere that you cannot join till BGC os complete. Anybody have experience in TCS as immediate joiner. Will I be able to join on date or should I consider other offer. HR is not replying clearly.
