Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened during the past year searching. Looking for a SC level role within healthcare/public sector consulting firm. I know the job scene is a bit miserable currently but if anyone in the bowl is aware of a role I would love to have a chat.

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

I worked 2m for startup company and absconded due to bitter experience from Jun'21 - July'21 , later immediately joined to another company Aug'21 to present(under notice period). Now I got offer with comcast and will moving on Jan'23. How easy is it to lateral from Bain to McK/BCG? About to join Bain post-PhD in a few months. Really interested in life science/biopharma but there’s not much work in it here and nervous I won’t be able to exit to that industry. Are there any other options besides lateraling? Also is there a set amount of time to wait before I could try?

How long does it take to hear back from McKinsey after applying for an experienced position? I applied on 3.11 and haven’t heard back and the status says in progress. Is that a bad sign? TIA

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Anyone here switched from Deloitte to MBB? How was the process for you and how did you make your case to be hired? What major differences did you see at your new firm compared to Deloitte?
