You've gotta go to the W at Vieques. Short boat ride from Fajardo which is like an hours drive from San Juan (you can also fly there). Phenomenal island and resort.

Get out of San Juan if you can. That Sheraton is brutal, yet the best there. If on vacation, get in a car and drive to the other end of the island.

The Ritz is nic

Omg stay at the W at Vieques island. Also, stay in the condado area at least one night at the Concha hotel. Puerto Rico is so under-rated I am going again next year!

St Regis at Bahia Beach is bloody brilliant

I can't wait for things to get back to normal. For my kids to go to school. To see my family again. To travel overseas and explore. To not worry if I accidentally bump into someone. I feel like my kids are missing out on the magic of school (they were in kg and 1st grade when the initial shutdown started). I didn't get to see my nephew and niece since they were born, haven't seen my sister in 5 years (our family reunion got cancelled this summer). That is all. Hoping for a better year.

Hey all! Need a couple book recs for an upcoming beach trip.

Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.

Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

I used to hate growing up poor. Now I'm still poor but I've learned a lot of really practical things. I make most of my wooden furniture, know basic electrical and plumbing work, can cook and bake delicious food, can do most of the basics in car repairs, garden, and make a lot of my own clothes. Not to brag but I'm proud of myself 🥰

How terrible would it be to continue pursuing other job opportunities even after you already accepted an offer? The other two will likely pay considerably more so I feel like it’d be a waste to decline them (if I even get another offer).
