Lololol wouldn’t you get that bump from a yearly increase anyways? Why are you only trying to jump 5%
Should I negotiate higher? I think the higher end of the salary band is 100K lol, just trying to get as much as I can before I sign
If you're at 95,jumping for 100 is laughably low. Minimum bump should be 10% although 20+% is more normal at that salary level. I would ask for 115 and settle for 105-110.
They will laugh you right off to the next applicant
1. Do your research to determine your market value. This will make you more confident when making the ask for the higher number.
2. Practice the ask out loud in the mirror until you start to sound confident. You can also practice saying it to your friends, just to sense how you feel and then adjust your energy accordingly.
3. Confidently ask and state genuine reasons for why you deserve it.
Go higher, settle at 100
If it’s at D, I tried to get a 2K hump from 88k to 90k and the recruiter said no lol that should’ve been my warning sign
Good point. But from this app, it seems like the only way Deloitte budges is with counter offer
You’d be jumping for this? That’s dumb. When I was looking to jump I asked for $120k when I was making $73k. Got 2 offers at $115k and current firm also matched those. Aim higher.
Do you have an offer for 95 and you’re asking how to negotiate that up to 100?
Or are you saying something else?
