Now its been 4 months and I am on bench here too with no project proposals coming in. Will it be a good option to go for another switch in comparatively secured organization considering current recession?

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.

I have about $750K total investments and very close to $2M net worth, but realize that I am behind on investments if I want to do FIRE.
