Plenty of audit people under $80k with 3YOE...I mean PwC audit staff starts just around $50K in many cities.
B4 is the best place for audit/tax but audit/tax is not very prestigious/high-paying overall... not comparable to MBB (where starting salaries are $100k+ regardless of city)
I heard that pwc senior associates only make around 70k
In the Dallas market
This can certainly happen. It’s dependent on 3 things. 1. Your city, 2. Your ratings and 3. Whether you receive early promo to senior in 1.5-2 years. I have friends in both practices where this was the case.

That's pretty normal. Reason is that public accounting is a commoditized service. Companies need it done to check a box, doesn't really matter where they get it done. Consulting is different because there's a perceived value-add so the margins are higher, resulting in higher salaries.
Yes, but they aren't nearly as selective. I think the audit cohorts can be in the 100s. I always thought the Tax guys had a pretty high base given its very specific.

Had 2 roommates who each made that at 3 years at EY and PwC. I think it’s pretty normal.
Got it, but majority of people are at least above 80k after 3 YOE in a T1/T2 city, no?
