I'm going from working at a non IT industry to an IT firm. As an introvert I've faced a lot of difficulty in my career... Now since I'm also shifting to another industry completely, I'm feeling very insecure about my life at work. Please give me tips on how to make friends and be in the good books of the managers.

Any tips on helping my remote bond/feel more connected with each other?

I don’t understand how someone can lie about loving you for 6 months. We were together for almost a year (broke up a week before our anniversary). I said I love you first and he said it back. I asked for more reassurance last month with saying I love you more often. Now all of a sudden he said he didn’t know if he loved me and that love meant marriage for him. Okay well great thanks for telling me this now, 6 months after it was initially exchanged. I don’t understand how he could do that.

How do I start the divorce process? Do I have to get a lawyer? Help...!

Whoever said bumble bbfs was great couldn’t have been more right. My parents constantly compare me and my sibling. It’s tiring, I have jealous feelings stemming up from this too. I been thinking about buying a 3bed and 3bath house or a condo. I haven’t had much luck in finding one so I started thinking about 4 bed and 3bath. Okay finance gurus, I have an idea and interested in your thoughts. Might be a bad one so be gentle 🙂. I have a 2 yr old and another on the way. Need to start planning for college. Having a moment and wanted to make a post. I lost a special family member suddenly in April 2020. And then another July 2020. And then the most influential person in my life in February 2021. And then another big loss in April 2022. I’m still grieving. Every single day. Some days are better than others. I’ve had heightened anxiety and depression with it. My heart hurts all of the time. I miss them all so much. Some days just seem to be better than others.

This is my first post in Fishbowl, I'm looking for some genuine guidance on below query.

I have a total of 8.1 yrs of development experience in Java, Bigdata and Hadoop (new to it).
I got an offer from Capgemini for Manager/C2 designation with a CTC of 24 LPA. I just wanted to know the roles and responsibilities at this designation.
Will it be a profile shift from technical to managerial position or is just a designation (as per HR) the actual job would be to lead/guide any team?
