Are good looking people usually getting faster promotion, tending to do more management and non tech work?
Deloitte folks, what is your year to date client billable hours ? Disclose your level as well please.
When the principal tries to explain the project in a client meeting after not being involved for 3 months...
People who got promoted last year - how do you feel about it? I feel guilty given that most people didn’t even get a raise (in the UK). I find it hard to reconcile with the COVID gloom
When your service line sends out the period update and it shows that we're consistently 20% below plan....guess I won't be counting on a decent raise next year 😑
How is CSX as a client at Nagarro?
Need advice - when partner says create an agenda for the meeting with xyz client. I can't tell if he's asking for a deck or just a one-page bullet point of talking points? Thoughts?
I went to my boss at work and said, "I need a raise. Three other companies are after me." He said, "Really? Which other companies are after you?" I said, "The electric, water and gas companies"
Staffed on a project, where I am responsible for QA the tickets and there's no defined criteria; Also I don't have much background (because I am staffed during the middle of the project). Almost everyday, my boss would ping me and challenge why certain people created the request and I did not catch the rationale/gather all the information. I HATE this type of work as I think it's not adding any value to my portfolio. Now I received an Industry offer, jump??
Client: "let's make a short, high level brief. 4 slides max." SpongeBob narrator voice: "28 slides later..."
What do you do when your SO is so naive that she tells her employer during a promotion interview that her long term plan is a career in academia.
How many years of experience is generally (not specific to one company) expected for promotion to manager?
Have been a PM for my client for the past year, successfully deploying several things. Just got told I will start working with a lower level client associate and I’m being dropped to a BA level...
Has anyone either been laid off or just switched from Big4 during covid to corporate? Was it difficult? did you still receive a raise? If so, how much?
Hope for promotion or get out? Basically I worked ~9 months on strategy/activation and then interviewed and got moved to analytics 2 months ago. I didn't get a chance to ask for increase compensation
For those in Advisory and not pursuing their CPA, what are the other credentials you can use for promotion to senior?
Pwc deals - Are we going to do promotion twice a year starting from this year (ie Jan and July)? Heard a rumor
What skills should you have before getting promoted from mid level to senior? Some people have been saying I should be asking for a promotion but I feel like I don't have enough (1/2)
Is the dyson airwrap worth it? I have a curling iron, a rotating brush, and a straightener that kind of do the job. (Though i’m not a pro with the curling iron). Would the airwrap have any additional benefits, other than saving space and reducing number of devices? It’s so expensive I have to justify if I’ll spend so much..
How do you ask for a raise? And I do mean quite literally what words do you say. I have a mid year review coming up and I want to ask. Just finished my first year, started at a very low salary (65k) for defense litigation associate and no raise yet. I am in a state where wages are lower than the big cities but I still think this is too low given partners make 250k-500k/year. Thanks.
H1b extension was filed 2 weeks back and now I see this when I check the status. What’s next?
My dad is a bit financially strict (borderline financially abusive) to my mom, so I want to set up a way to give her allowance money regularly on the DL. Would this be best done by setting up a credit card account for her? Or a separate checking account to which I deposit money every month? How would you do it? TIA!
What is your firm's parental leave policy?
Anyone know the base salary and bonus at Alvarez & Marsal for a human capital/ Exec comp consultant with 6 years of experience? Not in NYC, Chicago, or DC.
Designers, have you ever been in a position where you’re pretty much taking the lead on all aspects of the project? I.e writing project briefs, putting together workshops with client, and on top of that you’re the one actually working the outcome of the project? I’m feeling so overwhelmed with a new project that came in and I feel like I’m pretty much the only one doing the work. And on top of that my salary doesn’t reflect the work that I’m doing.
Is anyone here a foreigner working in the US, and contributing to your 401(k)? Is it worth it if you don’t plan to retire here? Insights appreciated.
Hey anyone willing to swing a referral for roles in change management consulting or healthcare consulting
I'm extremely unhappy about the fact my team orders Chinese food every single day (M-Th) for lunch. What's the best way to approach this? Should I ask to roll off?
With the W&K layoffs ... 1. Recruiters are getting psyched. 2. Freelancers are even more unnerved. 3. Axe will fall on people phoning it in at other shops. What are your other predictions ? People leave ad game altogether?
I'm not doing this to drive a RAV4
Question about expensive mileage while traveling. If you are in a city (greater than 100 miles from home office), do you still subtract out your normal office commute mileage on a daily basis?
I don’t get the whole prestige thing. It seems like everyone is so caught up in it. Even at the most prestigious big 4 firm (Deloitte) people still seem concerned about it on this app.
