Hey everyone! I’m a pharmacy tech trying to find a higher paying job, I’m moving to San Diego where the cost of living is much higher than I’m from. Any suggestions on how I can make more money and have flexibility in my schedule? I currently make about 190k base with bonus and LTIP, about 230-250k (remote). Just got an SDE II position with Amazon. They are offering 160k base and with bonus/RSUs it’s about 260k combined (on site). Should I ask for a higher base?

Recently had a screener interview for an in-house gig, and the company’s internal recruiter requested a deal sheet, which lists and describes my past deals and my role in them (excluding names of clients, etc), to pass along to the hiring manager. Just curious if anyone else has received this request.
As we grow, we've realized a greater need to implement a promotion policy so we're setting clear expectations on how soon an employee can post out for a promotion/different role. I would love to hear some best practices on this! Is this something your organization has and if so, what time frame do you set? 6 months? a year? Thanks in advance!

I am debating pivoting to a strategy role before becoming too pigeonholed, but would have to take a pay/level cut. Is it shortsighted to move from a lucrative tech consulting path to strategy consulting due to fear of being too specialized?
After being offered a position, how do you feel the best way to ask for specific benefit information before accepting the job? Have you asked for this info yourself?
How long does it typically take to hear back from a big tech company post final interview loop? The hiring manager expressed explicit Interest in hiring me but I felt that the broader teams response was more mixed.
Interview was spread out between Thursday and Wednesday - haven’t heard back yet. Any thoughts on how much cache the hiring manager has vs other folks on the team?
When will I receive LTA, fuel and maintenance reimbursement? These are the separate components in salary on monthly basis.

I had an interview with EY and three rounds were done. Upon following up with the recruiter, she mentioned that due to year end they are deciding on the hiring targets. Is that a polite decline? Lol. Why would they even interview me 3 rounds if they haven’t had the position open?EY
My Company is promoting me from an Individual contributor to a People/ Group Manager role in Supply chain. In this new role, around 5-6 Supply Chain Managers will be reporting to me.
I am yet to get an official letter as it is verbal at this point. I am wondering what % raise should I ask for? I am not in a position to say no to this opportunity so cannot hardball them.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

Looking to rent a home in the Central Park area but there are very few homes available for rent on Zillow. Does anyone know of any other platforms that might have listings that are not on Zillow? Any tips for navigating client office politics? I’m working on a process improvement project involving multiple teams and one team feels threatened that my client team is taking work from them (and that their jobs will be in jeopardy as a consequence), and they are slowing down progress which prevents me from doing my job. Client execs are aware but have their hands tied. What’s the best way around this?

Covid finally got me. 2.5 years into the global pandemic, double vaxed and boosted. Much worse than I expected. I fear if I didn’t have Paxlovid, I would be in much worse shape, possibly even in the hospital. Any tips on resuming work? I fear being too exhausted to complete each work day in the near term. Note my company is great at giving time needed to support me through this. I just don’t want my Type A personality to overwhelm my need to take care of myself. Advice please.
Question for you all...
How do you tell a new employer you're interviewing for that you're leaving your current job because of the work environment...
For example, we see up I've been with your company for only a year, how come you're wanting to leave?
My reply: The work environment doesn’t allow for me to collaborate with others, have the flexibility like most, and be able to have opportunity for growth..
Is that okay to say?

I'm a 2nd year SA in a T2 firm in tech consulting, and will be going to MIT for my MBA in the fall. Is going to industry the best option for me to get a manager level role or do MBB / VC companies offer manager level for 4 yoe? Alternatively, what other options should I be considering post mba?
Current pay is at 110k if thats relevant. Don't want to waste these two years and end up in the same level and pay range had I not left in the first place. I'm fine with one or the other, just not both.

Are case interviews something that still happen when you’re moving from consulting firm to consulting firm?
Former consultants working in big tech in-house strategy, how has your experience been thus far? Is it still intense, or somewhat laid back? Did you travel a lot pre-COVID? How’s TC?
Sorry for this a little bit off the topic question - I resigned the firm and the current insurance covers till end of January. My new job doesn’t start until Feb 8th. So in this gap week, am I uninsured? I am just worried if I had an emergency or need a COVID test, it will be costly.
Considering lateraling into a sales role at a big tech company so comp and everything is the same, but can’t decide if it’s worth it bc I will technically be losing 4k bc I will be leaving within 18 months of taking a course through Booz. Would you do it anyway or look for a job that would cover the 4k with a sign on bonus?
What’s the longest you’ve waited after a final round to hear back? I’m onto week three and it’s killing me. They’re interviewing more people and I can only think it’s better to be last?
