Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

Hello fishes🐠. Can anybody guide me on the dress code followed in the BlackRock London office? Will be joining soon and want to ensure I dress appropriately (My current workplace is very casual, people wear jeans and sneakers). For context, a woman joining in a role that is not client facing, not portfolio manager. Thanks in advance.

Wait till you have the offer in hand. Indicate that you’re thrilled about the opportunity but have another offer at a higher salary (at your current role or another employer). Ideally you can say that their original offer is below market.
There’s an art to suggesting you might not take their original offer without actually giving them an ultimatum.
Yes. Or bluffing one
Bottom of the range should be the salary you want, always, and top end the one that’s aspirational… if they invested a lot in the process and really like you it will be an uphill battle to bring them to the top but might be doable. Just be opened and say you have revised your expectations towards top of the range (or above) based on industry discussions you have had recently. Maybe try to pre-empt that before the first offer they make, given this will then be the base for negotiations ?
+1. This is such great advice.
Are you in front of any other companies? Also for the future don’t give a range. Just give a hard number that you’re comfortable with. So don’t say 90-100k for example. Just say 100k
I actually did ask them their budget range before i provided my range. The recruiter said that they hadnt decided on a budget (weirdest response i got to that questions so far). Conversation wasnt going anywhere until i said my number unfortunately
Make sure you are considering total comp (401k, benefits etc) when negotiating and hours. I politely told my current employer that the rate they offered was below market for the hours they expected (H1-B database is a great tool with semi accurate salary ranges for most major employers). Would use market data to defend your position as well as the job specifics. I argued that I could get $X and their offer was $Y , basically said how can you bridge the gap? Do not give a number until they show their cards and you have an official offer. If they ask - you should flip around on them. What’s their target range for the role? You don’t want to waste your time either if it’s below your target. Good luck!
Thank you!
