Skip hop activity center was great for our son. We’ve turned it into a play table now that he can climb/walk. Our daycare had a jumper which he enjoyed as well. Also the joovy spoon walker was the best once he could start standing. Just wide enough that his fingers were never caught when running into walls/chairs.
Skip hop explore and more
If you haven’t already, you will discover that for most kid equipment in the sub $100 range, it will seem like one SKU has 90% marketshare. It is a space where killer products rule. In those cases, save yourself some brain power and ride the tide of crowd wisdom. Seriously, we all have the same crap.
You will see a lot more variety for the expense hardware (especially safety gear) e.g. crib, stroller, and car seats. You also see lots of variety on the more intimate goods, like bottles and sleep sacks, where kid preference (and success rates) matters a bunch.
Examples (at the moment): aforementioned saucer, stand n play (also Skip Hop), sippy cups (Munchkin 360), scooters (Micro Mini/Maxi), 3 season shoes (Native), mid/rain/snow boots (Bogs), walker (Vtech sit to stand), bib (Tomme Tipper or BabyBjorn with the catcher).
Try changing out the toys that hang from it. I rotated through a bunch of different ones to keep the babies interested.
