So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

VP at non-banking financial services companies such as Prudential is NOT the same as a VP at a Bank. It’s almost always a more senior role. I say almost always because it’s not always the case. In some companies VP is still similar to a Banking VP. The way to evaluate the job isn’t by these VP, SVP titles but where you sit in the Org and your impact/accountability
Being a VP anywhere means Boss status.
VP is higher than Director. Not sure all the levels but I do know it’s Manager —> Director —> VP.
So essentially director is a senior manager and a VP is really a Director
