When you say "fully scoped on a brand" do you mean only working on one brand (impossible for upper management and many middle managers and certainly impossible if the scope on a brand has fractional FTEs)? 100% client-billable? Hitting 90% utilization target? Are you speaking of only creative/account or of other roles, where the departments can't function when FTEs are not flexible across brand work?
I keep seeing this talked about in the other network channels but nobody has explained what they mean or what they think IPG means by this. I'd appreciate some clarification but I can tell you that so far I haven't heard anything like this at FCBH.
Honestly, I’m not certain what people on the IPG bowl are talking about either. It has to be referring to 90% utilization target or it doesn’t work, as you stated. But even so, many of us in senior levels don’t even need to hit that number to be profitable to the company. This is something that reared it’s ugly head in an IPG post in the last couple days and people are saying it’s happening to people at McCann and Cure, as well as FCBH. I haven’t heard about it either at FCBH, but I’ve learned about stuff like this happening at other times at other shops, long after it was in effect.
Looking for clarification too.
