I’m with you and feel the same exact way and so lost. Can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, and none of the weight being lifted even with doubling up on therapy every week.
Look into FMLA.
Yes, in some cases it’s possible. I’d start with your general practitioner and, ideally if you have one, therapist. It’s easier in ex-US countries but I have had members of my and other teams who have qualified for medical leave under their doctor’s care. One participated in an outpatient treatment program, and I believe the others worked with their doctors to see what was most feasible for them (sick time vs FMLA).
It’s not in management’s (or HR’s) best interest to help you, as they’re largely there to protect them company. Your doctor or therapist will be able to act as an advocate for you and help begin to determine what options you may be able to take here.
