Can you live in Canada and work in the US?

Details:
Currently in the US on H1B visa. I also have a Canadian PR.
Can I live in Canada and fly to client locations in the US (M-Th)? Is this possible if I transfer to Deloitte Canada? Will H1B have to be transferred. The reason for staying in Canada is because I have family there and also have US GC application in process. Any one doing this or know anything about the same? Thanks in advance.

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc).
