cfe. easy. but worthless.
All depends on the type of work you do (and the type you want to do). I'm assuming you are in Canada which is why you mention the CBV instead of the ABV?
I primarily work on disputes as well as investigations and all of these credentials are valuable in the space I work in: CFF and/or MAFF, CFE, ABV and/or CVA (there are a couple other Val credentials to consider also).
All three of these organizations (AICPA, NACVA, ACFE) put out valuable resources/content and training in this space. So I find there is a lot of value to having access to that content beyond just earning the credentials.

Non-CPAs in general can also obtain the ABV assuming the have the amount of valuation hours required. That change was made a few years ago. So as a Canadian CPA you can still get the ABV if you join the AICPA (associate membership), pass the exam, and have 4,500 hours of BV experience before you apply for the actual credential.

Following as I’m curious as well. In my opinion, CBV is beneficial if you are doing (or want to do) work directly related to valuations. CFE is pretty much for optics as it sounds good to say fraud examiner but pretty easy to get. CFF, from my understanding, is more technical and may be more respected as it is offered by the AICPA
maff
Get CFE and CFF. Also get ABV if you do/want to do valuations.
I would say CFE to start with, it's an easy one
