CISSP-ISSAP or TOGAF?

I keep seeing posts that associates at mid-size/biglaw firms don’t get given the opportunity to go to court. Is this true across most larger firms, even if you lateral with some experience?

Do we have professionals from Brisbane, or other Australian cities here?

I wanted to know what do you guys think I should ask for expected compensation - my profile is :

3 Years into InfoSec compliance around ISO27001; SSAE-18; CIS

1 Year into Identity and Access Management (PAM focussed)

Holding ISO27001LA, CompTIA Security+, AZ900.

In next 4 months I target to achieve AZ500, and CISSP.

Can someone please evaluate and tell me what can I ask in AUD ? Pre and Post CISSP

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

Assuming that I'm okay with a salary of 70K and more, and that I really don't want to work at a law firm. Is it going to be difficult for me to return to law with two years of experience and one year working in a legal adjacent role.

Anyone here work in-house? 2nd year associate, aiming to get an in-house role at a startup or smaller company and thinking of getting CIPP certified.

I have heard privacy is a big issue for companies these days and am wondering if it is worth getting certified to stand out. I have been doing M&A and PE work before so I do not have any applied privacy experience (but I think it’s really interesting).

My firm doesn’t match my 401k — still worth opting in?

I have been giving a few interviews lately and every Company is asking me to confirm if i can get my NP reduced from 90 Days to 45 or 60 Days. I'm still under probation but assigned to a Project already. Should I ask my Account Manager and HR about it or its unethical to do so. Am i making a mistake to ask and confirm about NP even before my offer letter or its ok to just enquire what's the process and possibility to reduce NP as we have buyout option too.
