McKinsey & Company How likely is McKinsey to rescind an offer if there's a recession/downturn before my start date? Received an Associate offer with a start date early in the Fall. But I'm worried about the offer being rescinded due to the ongoing McK scandals/issues and a potential recession in the making (which may prompt them to freeze hiring and/or renege offers).
Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

Shoot for $300k my friend (I have no reference points but you seem to be worth it)

Usually mckinsey bring other positions as one level below (an outside EM would join as an associate, etc.). If they're offering an EM position, it would be equivalent of a new EM, not an experienced one.
McK fish can help me here, but I'm fairly certain that base should be around 200k-230k, and TC might be close to 250k

Usually they’ll bring you in at a specific level and you’ll get whatever base salary corresponds to that level. Not really room to negotiate the base; but you can try to push to come in at a higher tenure (eg AP vs EM)
What’s a manager on a partner track?
EM with the expectation that you’ll rise to associate partner and then partner. We have the same concept at my company. Up or out track to partner. Maybe all EM roles follow this at mck idk, that’s just what the recruiter told me. At my firm it’d be relevant as not all manager level roles are on an up or out track to partner.
