That's pretty terrible.
Worst 401k in the biz. Fuck d
Keep in mind the 401k matching takes 3 years to be 100% vested. They match the 1.5% each year, but they take back a % based on when you leave. I forget the exact breakdown, but you only own something like 25/50/100% of the match after 1/2/3 years of employment. So if you contribute $400, they had matched $1,000, and you left after 1 year, you keep $250 they take $750. They can't touch the money you added, but they do that for what they added.
25% match up to 6%
Thanks !
How does the pension plan work at D?
D3, at least when I joined it was 4 years 20% / 40% / 60% / 100%
D1 I'm pretty sure I was wrong and you're right. Those percentages sound way more accurate since I just remember running the math for the first year and it was something around $225. That was the moment I realized I'm not really getting a 401k match
No that 225 is right, vesting has nothing to do with how much the contribution amount is, just how much of it is technically yours if you leave
Yeah that's what I mean. I knew 225 was the number, so 25% was too generous as my initial guess.
Kpmg is way better for 401k
How does the pension work ???
The pension is a cash balance, so they basically put in an amount each year equal to some percent of your age plus years of service. I think it starts at like 3% of pay, but it increases eventually.
How long do you need to stay to actually get it
Just found out how to check mine. Woohoo $100 per month when I retire
