I was able to pass Security+ without any technical experience or background. Just studied for a few weeks and that was it. CISSP is gonna be much harder, but as such is much more valuable than Security+. Still, if you have the time to study for it, I think it’s worthwhile
It is worth the doors if opens. If commands a lot of respect. You can leave and move whenever you want when you get these types of certs.
Does security + open doors?
If you are starting from scratch (ie you know nothing about cyber) then yes security+ would be a good building block for higher-level certs. But if you have the experience and ability to pass CISSP right out of the gate then that’s the way to go
