Considering driving for Uber to supplement income (worried about a recession and all), but I've heard that the money isn't really worth it unless you do it full time. Anyone have any experience or opinion?

I used to just work Friday, Saturday & Sunday. It was a nice pay check. Better if you have an suv. Kinda sucks if you have sedan bc you get the cheap drunks that throw up. Less likely to deal with that with big groups.

I never had to deal with the throw up bc I had an suv so I was taking groups but the compensation would never be worth the head ache.

I made double in a night from 8pm-4am than my engineering consulting paid me. Sometimes I wish I still did it, days like 4th of July would make $1k. Usually would pull $400 a night in San Diego, June through November. Winter was always dead December through March. Or I’d do it on my way to and from home to work.

Hope this helps!

If you just need some extra money it's good for an extra $200/week. Drive during busy times where the prices are higher and you're constantly picking up people.

Try driving on weekends. I don't know if it's great to supplement your income but it did help me save up money.

Following this thread. I've been doing Door Dash and it's really a waste of time. I want to try Uber but I'll see what others are saying first.

Need some advice on renting here in ATX.

Back in May 2021, I rented a property that had sustained damage during the big snow storm. This wasn't disclosed at lease signing. The home leaked every time it rained, mold was found in the home & the LL failed to make repairs that resulted in me falling down a flight of stairs. I moved out& rented an apt for 2 mos before signing a lease on the house I live in now. This house has a serious big problem& I've found mold here too. Continued below

I am currently looking for cost conscious 401 (k) Safe Harbor Small Business Plan offerings. The participants would have self-directed accounts and the Plan would permit investing in company stock. Any suggestions on Plan providers welcome; no need to critique the approach except in terms of IRS rules or other legal barriers (primarily, did I present requirements incorrectly, presumably). The Plan will be part of a ROBS (RollOver as Business Startup)

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

Hello Everyone,

I have been working with Kantar (a market research company) for 10 months now. The company has given me permanent work from home. Work is quite good and I am able to learn many things here. Also, my manager is very supportive and patient.
The only thing is about compensation, I have a package of 14 lpa with 6 YOE.
I'm thinking of switching to some company based in Pune.
What should I do?

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.
