Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

Harvard and Travis elementary are the only good public schools in the Heights, but the houses zoned to them (the area roughly east of Heights Blvd and south of 11th) tend to be the most expensive.
Oak Forest elementary is the only good public school in Garden Oaks/Oak Forest and the houses zoned to it tend to be the most expensive as well.
Frankly, the Heights is more catered towards people who are single and Garden Oaks/Oak Forest are more catered towards people who are newly married or who have very young kids that aren’t yet school aged. You can get by through elementary but by middle/high school you will definitely have to relocate. Since you already have a kid in 3rd grade you might want to consider looking elsewhere.
I would highly recommend Spring Branch (the southern parts closest to I-10), Memorial West, Bellaire, or the Energy Corridor. West U and the Memorial Villages are also great if you can afford it.
I’m sure some people (like SC1) have great experiences at Frank Black just like some people do at any school, but it is not a highly rated school by any means. Same goes for GOMM.
You can apply to other schools outside of your zoning but it’s a lottery system and there’s no guarantee you’ll get in the year you apply or any year after.
I’m not saying families can’t get by in the Heights. They absolutely can. But unless you already own a home there I just don’t see why you’d choose to when you can get better housing at better prices with better infrastructure and better schools in the other areas I listed. You really don’t even need to go to the suburbs. There’s plenty of good options in HISD/SBISD
HISD is being purposely run into the ground by the interim appointed superintendent. He’s an Abbott crony that believes education is for those who can afford it, and wants to defund public education in favor of private schools.
There are going to be failing schools in ANY large public school district. Should we forget those kids? No! But the schools that were doing well should’ve been left alone, and the efforts should’ve been focused on the failing schools! Also, there are plenty of people on the right who don’t support Miles! Those who do either don’t have kids or their kids are in private school already.
Prices are high for the schools mentioned by Manager 1 due to young families with kids (like yourself) wanting to live in those areas and also having access to downtown, parks, restaurants, etc. Families have been and continue to move to the area. Go for a walk on a Sunday afternoon and you’ll see young families and kids all over the place. Some of them may be going to private schools but many continue through the public school system.
Spring Branch ISD is the choice rn. I grew up in HISD but never went to a school I was zoned to. Had a great experience but now that it is being run by the state its very different
