Have you ever yelled at your coworker in public?
Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

One of the worst and traumatic experiences of my life. It is a sweatshop and a revolving door. You have to bill 200+ hours for barely six figures if you ever get six figures in the first place. You must be always on call. Even on vacation. You have to answer calls on vacation. Don't expect to put an OOO when you're on vacation. Big drug culture too. You will have psycho partners. If you're ok with working all day every day and not having a personal life ever and being pigeon holed in ID, then go for it.
Never worked there but have heard basically what A1 said.
I have heard from many people that everything above is true.
I interviewed there a few years ago, and the interviewer told me that she was divorced, so she only has her kids part of the time. She said it was really great because it gave her more time to work. I got an offer but HARD PASS.
Wow… I don’t understand how there can be so many brain broken attorneys willing to work under these conditions and somehow like it. It’s like Stockholm syndrome.
I’m currently a first year there. It depends on the office and partners you work with. My office and practice group is one of the more laid back ones. The firm no longer does mandatory Saturdays or impose weekly billing deadlines. And they recently raised their starting salaries. The goal is still 2400, but junior associates can get away with 170 per month depending on the partner (you probably won’t get that sweet nominal bonus though). Recent improvements notwithstanding, it’s still a sweatshop with high turnover and unsympathetic culture. Most files are a mess due to the high turnover and overwhelmed staff. Some people LOVE the firm despite these issues. Personally, I don’t plan on doing more than a year. I hate it here. I feel like a zombie everyday at work and it feels like all my case files are on fire no matter how hard I work. The billable requirement is suffocating and I’ve seen about 10 people quit or get fired in less than 6 months. Stay away from CSK, it will break you…
And this was a positive review!!🤣

HAHAHAHAHA oh my poor sweet summer child. Strap the fuck in.
“CSK” has become a synonym for “insufferable sweatshop.” I worked there for a summer while in law school and I still legitimately have PTSD. When I was there, if you weren’t at your desk before 7:30-8:00 AM, you were “talked to.” If you left earlier than 6:30 or 7:00, you were “talked to.” If you don’t go in for mandatory Saturdays, you were publicly castigated. The managing partner trolls the office on Saturday mornings and will make a note if your office light is not on. If you took work from a partner that another partner had a feud with, you’d be caught in the middle of it like some kid passing messages between their parents. At worst, again, you’ll be publicly reprimanded.
The firm culture is defined by fear, chaos, and intimidation. The worst of any office culture you’ll likely see in your life.
And did I mention the hours and the pay? I don’t give a shit about their “official” minimums of 2100 or whatever it is now. Out of law school I was offered $75k for 2500 HOURS MINIMUM. Even putting aside how absurd that is, I wouldn’t work there for $300k for 1100 hours a year. It’s that bad.
Omfg ok so that’s a hell no on them then lmao I got some vibes but wanted to confirm. This sounds like a freaking lifetime soap opera lmao
Don't do it... you will have no soul.
Current CSK associate.
You work here on one condition: get your experience and get out. That’s it. We’ve had a dozen people leave in the 1.5 years I’ve been here. All are making much more money.
There are THREE benefits to me being at CSK:
1. Experience. You’ll get plenty of it.
2. Depending on your partner you have the ability to work in multiple practice areas to build experience.
3. When you interview to leave other places just know and completely understand. “Oh you made it a year at CSK? How?” Or “now I know why but I still have to ask, why are you looking to leave your current firm.”
That’s it. 90k for 2100 hours billed is ridiculous. The clients and partners (depending) have such unrealistic goals of what can be done in a specific time frame. It becomes very check the box as in you do what you can to hit your hours. No more.
It will make you regret ever going to law school.
All they do is lie to you and try to keep you in the dark. Everywhere I interviewed when I lateraled (into double the pay for the same work) was blown away by how csk keeps its employees in the dark. They just couldn’t keep staff otherwise. That’s why people leave in droves - we’re all young and close and talk and when one person gets a taste of a law firm that at minimum compensates at market and at maximum actually gives a shit (my firm, for instance, lets you bill pto at 8 hrs a day towards your objective bonus), everyone leaves.
Entirely accurate
Would you be an entry level associate? They only pay $83K for first years (post bar admission and $75K before) and that’s non-negotiable.
Recently received an offer so I can confirm that this is currently the starting salary.
Very true
