I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY

Senior Manager 1: It’s one of the top 10
EY 1: I agree, I never wanted to go after the name as well. However, it’s really hard to understand the true nature of the job unless you actually work somewhere. My life feels very unfulfilling at the moment. I tried very hard to push to my second year and I consider myself an extremely hard worker and I’m constantly trying to improve processes. Management seems to appreciate my work but at the end of the day I feel like we as a firm settle for less and there aren’t too many people around me who care too much for what we deliver. Also, most projects are extremely unorganized as it leads to a more stressful environment for no reason
Big 4 can be mediocre too. If you do make the switch really try to understand the true nature of the job. Don’t fall for a name
I would say go for it. I worked in a midsize accounting firm for a year and jumped to Big 4 after. I wanted to experience what it was like to work at one of the top firms. I’m glad I made the switch and also have had the midsize experience. You definitely learn a variety of different clients in midsize but the technology, flexibility and access to a wide network of people is better at Big 4.
PwC 1: Thanks for sharing that. I have friends at the Big4 and they’ve told me the same thing. I feel like it’s not just the name, the Big4 are well developed and mature as compared to mid-sized firms.
If that’s the case for you then you should go to the B4 or private. You’re like the average of 5 people you hang out with and maybe you need that change to elevate yourself. I’m sure we’d love to have you 😂
B4 has great reputation, resources, and network. I can’t comment on going to private yet, but I’m hoping when I get there that it’s better pay, less pressure, and more work life balance.
