Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

Usually it is easier to switch firm but in this market if you don't have FDD experience, switching to another big 4 will be very hard. MM firms are more likely to take you.
Idk if all the offices have the same rotation timeline, but for Chicago the rotation application ended months ago, and the next rounds likely won’t be until after busy season. You can probably ask your counselor to see if they can help you with a rotation, other wise having your CPA, networking are the only thing that might helps with the tough market rn
If you have a good connection with your counselor then try to tell them your interest and see if they can help you to connect with some ppl, or if you know anyone that transferred to TD or did a rotation. Otherwise probably would be the good old LinkedIn lol
I did a rotation at EY as a senior in TD then switched to a MM because EY wouldn’t let me switch you can always go back to big 4 when you have experience

Easier to get into FDD by switching firms. Doing it internally will require a long waiting period, all while getting audit pay rates. Also, job market is tight right now, so I doubt Big 4 firms are looking to pull people with audit experience only.
Best bet is to try getting into an MM firm, and if you care about being in the Big 4, just hop back in after a year at the MM
Get your cpa, it’s a requirement if you want to transfer to TD or even do a rotation
Not a requirement for manager anymore.
