Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

What makes you want to move to Austin? Market has definitely been on a steep upward climb, and there aren’t a lot of duplexes (the few that do pop up are often competitive). It all sounds good on paper until you get into a bidding war.
What are you looking for as far as feedback? Can it work… sure. Will it work… depends on the deal. Is it a good investment… again, depends on the deal details.
I’ve got 5 properties in austin. I don’t see it crashing (biased), but I definitely see it slowing down
Tailwinds: Tesla, Samsung, Apple, oracle investments
Headwinds: traffic, already incredibly inflated, surrounding neighborhoods are filling up
Duplex wise it’ll be tough for some of the cooler locations. There are some slightly cheaper duplex friendly areas in north austin

Duplex isn’t really a thing in Austin. Starting to get some more A and B type properties but often brand new and pricey.
Long term - Austin is only up.
I don’t see Austin crashing although there is chatter about it cooling due to abortion laws in Texas slowing migration. Should be low risk on asset value decreasing though.
If inventory in Austin is only a month or two like in many hot markets, you're nowhere near the top. When there are 8 months of inventory available and asking prices are more than 18 to 21 times annual rents you'll know you're there.
For those of you familiar with the Austin market, where do you see it going long term?
