Hi Fishes, Can Anyone please tell, one of my friend joined Tech M in August, At the time of joining she was 3 months pregnant and now shes worrying about her manager. She wants to inform them about her pregnancy; is it right time to inform? Or she needs to wait for 6 more months for that to inform? Anyone please clearify.. I love the convenience of the car seat with base that lifts out into the stroller but a lot of people also just lift their kids out of the car seat and put them into a stroller / pram.
Carry in a wrap or sling, or in my arms. Call me what you will, but I don’t think it’s good for them to be strapped in with no contact and nothing to look at for all that time. They love being close to you. Strollers have a place but I don’t like the kinds of systems you described.
Doona for the win
Doona is convenient for travel. But damn those tiny wheels and lack of storage is annoying. Not to mention if you are tall, it’s terrible for your posture having to lean forward to push it because it’s so low
I have a britax infant car seat and it comes with a base that stays in the car. I bought an extra base for my wife’s car. We also have britax strollers that accept the britax infant car seat. I’m not sure where you read that britax doesn’t have a base and remain in the car. The base is ONLY for infant car seats (I think that’s common regardless of brand). My 5 year old son has a britax forward facing car seat that stays in the car.
Yeah, on a second reading, I think OP is conflating two different things.
1) Many infant car seats have a detachable carrier with a handle, and the base stays permanently in the car.
2) Some of those ALSO make strollers that are compatible with the car seat base, such that the removable carrier piece can click into the stroller just as it can into the car seat base.
We had 1, but not 2. We would do the buckling up indoors, then carry them to the car and click into the base then when we arrived, remove from the base and carry them indoors, then take them out of the seat and carry them. We never had one of the matching strollers.
I had the Graco click connect for both of my kids, it worked well. Especially helpful when the babies fall asleep since the transfer is easy and they stay in the carrier.
Does your car seat rotate? We have a Maxi Cosi as it has this great smaller insert you could take out and carry the baby. We lived up 2 flights of stairs so this was brilliant and lighter than whole seat.
But as baby got bigger leaning in to get them out and in was a drag so we got a Britax rotating one.
We never really used the car seat in the pushchair because we were told it is not good for your baby to stay in that bent position. Should be lying flat until they are strong enough to sit up in a chair
