Dads with only 1 kid… pros and cons? Any regrets not having another? It was a long journey for us to have our kid. To have another isn’t going to happen so likely would need to adopt or do a donor type situation. I’m pretty content. My wife is too but maybe grieving not having the option is the way to say it. Curious how having 1 has turned out for people as we weigh 100% locking down our family decision.

I have a student who only comes to school two days a week and then only for 1 hour. He tells me I have to pass him so it doesn't matter. This is very frustrating. I knew this student hates school and often states he is stupid. I just do my best to encourage him. Build confidence. Any ideas to encourage him more? By the way, taking to his parent does nothing.

I am finishing up my second year of practice as a lawyer. I transitioned to plaintiffs pi work from a boutique commercial litigation firm. I like the work and not having to bill. The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I’m interested in pursuing cosmetic dermatology (possible Botox and laser treatment) for the first time. I’ve done a ton of research and the derm I’m most interested in going to charges a $150 consult fee but does NOT apply that cost to any treatments you get, whereas from my research it seems like derms in my city usually do apply the consult fee to the treatments. Would you pass on her due to that additional cost, or consider it worth it to see the derm you want to see?
