DCA to PDX with a 50min layover in Chicago. Too risky?

Yes Chicago is too unpredictable and I’ve gotten stuck there a couple times because I decided to take a risk with short layovers as well

like

ORD...yes!

If taking the next flight wouldn't be the end of the world, then take the 50 minute connection...odds are you'll make it. If you absolutely need to get to PDX on that flight, I'd look into other options.

Ur living on the edge my friend 🤓

Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

Can folks share their experiences of working during 2nd and 3rd trimesters? How hard was it? What accommodations or adjustments did you make? I’m only in my 1st trimester now but will be starting a new job in October (4 months before my due date) and am nervous about not being able to be at my best

Anyone have to retake their NIPT test? My results came back as insufficient quantify and I’m freaking out. I’m 11.5 weeks. Not a high BMI or anything so I’m worried something is wrong with my baby

I wanted to reschedule my hiring manager screen this week because I tested positive for covid and feeling sick with symptoms. Recruiter seemed annoyed and said hiring manager is busy for the rest of the week so I kept the original time slot. Hi all!
Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

I have looked into getting SHRM certification. But should I go back to school and get my masters in Hr?

Community, I’ve been meeting with a lot of people regarding next steps in my career. One of the best pieces of advice I received is to avoid micro-managing executive staff (agency leadership), as it puts downward and unwelcome pressure on people’s managers and ultimately oneself. Based on your experience in the last 2 years are there:
- Agencies you would steer clear from because their leadership micromanages
- Agencies you would recommend because their leadership gives you room to grow

Thx 🙏🏼
