I got laid off and need to rollover my 401k, any tips? I am thinking a Roth IRA. Also maybe a stupid question but do companies automatically match or do I need to ask my previous employer to do their match before rolling it over?

After 6 yrs of PM/PO out of college working for Cigna, I was informed my position is being eliminated due to “staff reductions to combat with rising costs of healthcare.” I was offered severance & I’ve got several positions in the works with the same company thankfully. Had low energy and motivation since last year... to a point where even the fear of being laid off isn’t doing much. Am I just lazy? Or is this a symptom of something greater/different?
