Delta variant. What do we think? Will it delay the opening and returns to office and travel?

Probably, not by much though. Since the approved vaccines apparently have high efficacy against the delta variant also.

Not sure but we should shut down the country and destroy the economy just to be safe!

likefunny

Precisely, lol

It might be. The big issue isn't necessarily Delta itself, but rather the people who don't think it's that big a deal (vaccinated and non vaxxed folks alike) and become breeding grounds for Delta Alpha, Delta Beta, so on where one of the child mutations has a spike protein so foreign, our vaccine progress is reset to zero

like

Some good news I read (in a scientific journal, not random Twitter stuff) is that if the spike protein does mutate that way, it will also become a lot less infectious, due to how it attacks the body. (But I agree unvaccinated folks who refuse to be vaccinated due to ignorance are a danger to children and the immunocompromised).

Couple of retirement homes in my area that have an outbreak where all the staff and residents are fully vaccinated but none had to be hospitalized. So hopefully if we are careful we don't have to close everything again.

Nope, May be mask and social distancing. If at all lockdown, it will be local. We don’t have paper to print the money anymore.

like

Probably not unless your office is in an area with insufficient vaccination.

It’ll be fine

It’s an endemic virus that will keep mutating over time and eventually break through neutralizing antibodies from vaccines. We’ll all probably be infected by SARS-CoV-2 multiple times, in fact. Immunological memory (i.e., T cells) should render it a cold once you’re vaccinated.

Is there an easy/efficient way to figure out how much you've contributed to vs earned in your Roth accounts? I started contributing >20 years ago to my employer's Roth 401k and have rolled it over to a Roth IRA and moved it between multiple custodians, e.g. Fidelity, Vanguard, UBS, Personal Capital, etc. It is unclear to me how much I contributed vs how much I earned by investing it.

The purpose of doing this is I want to use $10K of it, but want to prove that the $10K is from my contribution.
