Did 2 years in PA, 1 as a financial analyst and currently an Operations Manager (2 years). Possibly looking at getting back into public after being let go due to COVID. What level should I be applying for?

I'm trying to prep for an interview for an operations role for commodity derivatives with Macquarie. I'm wondering if anyone can provide me with what type of questions I could expect to be asked? I haven't had luck finding results on the internet.

Looking for advice on what types of reports/data are most convincing to senior leadership for keeping staff on who serve internal functions (knowledge managers, intranet, content specialists)- I fear these are the positions which will be lost/replaced by contractors. I want to improve my quantitative skills so I can be more succinct. Any recs for skills I should learn? I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.
