PwC or RSM LA - What would you choose?
Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

I was at pwc before and worked from home all the time. I wasn’t on the official flexible work arrangement though. I think it was much less common to be on an official plan.
Well all of my work at ey has been from home because of the rona... I would expect the same. If there’s no reason for me to be in the office I don’t go. If your work is done, you show face at the client/partner meetings, and your staff are supported no one gives a shit where you are. But you have to do that for yourself. No one if going to tell you you should work from home and I never ask permission. Just be smart about it and do a good job most people won’t even notice where you are.
Kpmg has a new policy released in December called "work your day". Employees could choose one day of the week to work from wherever they wanted
Was it common for audit teams to work from home during slower times before that or this is just starting Dec 19?
I would say it was on a team by team basis but most likely not very common.
Interesting how firms differ, at Crowe it was very common to and my friend working at PwC reported the same. Thanks!
