Director at a boutique considering a move to B4 SM after a couple recruiters reached out. I have 5 YOE in consulting and 12 total. Currently at about $210k TC and wouldn’t move for less than $260k. For the most part I like my colleagues and WLB is solid - rarely over 50 hours.

I feel like I would get better experiences and sharpen my skill set at a B4 though. I expect that the brand would make future job searches easier as well/open more doors.

How much of a pay cut would you be willing to take for a place/job/team where you think you'd be happier?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. 3 YOE in a big 4/accenture firm. Most of my consulting projects have been in data science/analytics, data engineering, & digital marketing. I have also heavily used R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc & some digital analytics tools such as adobe analytics
