My husband is an ex-ACN guy and has worked for Jabian Consulting in ATL for 10 years now. He’s an Exec Director that focuses on culture and change work. They have established offices in ATL, Charlotte, and Dallas and are standing up a Chicago office. It was started by three ex-ACN guys and all the work is local. You should check them out jabian.com. I’m a boomerang at ACN and worked at NH for a few years during my break from ACN and NH always did a lot of staff aug work ... not a fan of the company or the culture..
Hi @OP, sure.. happy to help with Jabian connection. What’s the best way to get you my email on this forum?
Tons of local ops in Atlanta. All the top and bottom 😀 players have big local presence and big local clients. All national players have something here and many local players like North Highland (ATL Born), Jabian, Slalom (growing massively taking market share from offshore companies doing digital work cheaper & faster onshore), Daugherty, Deloitte and others have good St Govt offices too.. All are massively hiring including their clients. AWS & MSFT are also building a regional hub. As always they all have pros and cons so look at them before you jump. Good news is tons of entry and exist ops.
I’m in ATL and have Slalom recruiters hitting me up all the time! Feel free to DM me and I’ll pass your resume along
acn
How’s that work? People actually find local projects?
Bain!
Thanks! Do you know anything about the firm’s Org Consulting practice? I like their approach from what I can read.
Most of the bigger companies have regional offices - I remember KPMG had an atlanta office but from what I remember most people worked from home
Definitely not in the human capital space dude
Bcg
Really? Hiring in DC ?
Slalom and north highland have a local-clients based business model. In fact each office has its own p&l. Their philosophy is to have engaged consultants who don’t wear out from travel, so that they can be engaged with their clients. In fact i believe north highland is based out of ATL.
Agree with that. I’ve spoken to them. It’s basically slalom. It’s like we trade players
Correct EY1. NH is based out of ATL. Slalom also has a pretty decent Org practice. I will say though, get ready for shit to slow down real fast, and get ready for some boring work / staff aug
I am. DMing you now
Accenture. I hate it but a lot of folk like it
I personally was told: wait for at least 3 weeks before thinking about going to another region or industry, for it requires leadership approval. so no, it's not like you are dead out of options, but I imagine it's a awkward conversation to have with your practice lead. a lot of people who don't have their industry in their region to end up travelling. just takes longer to get booked
