Do any of you here share these behaviors? Im planning on talking to a medical professional about ADHD but just wanted to get reactions from you guys. Maybe these are ridiculous and not signs of ADHD: opening a kitchen cabinet and forgetting to close it, being hyper focused at work and not doing anything else like taking out the trash or doing the dishes, working on 5 things but never fully reviewing and perfecting one of them (everything is 80-90% complete)

Do these symptoms interfere with your life and have you done this your whole life?

If no, it could be a result of stress or fatigue.

I think most people are on a dopamine rollercoaster these days because of social media and increased expectations of desk work.

I’ve been adhd my whole life but symptoms have been much worse in recent couple of years. I believe it’s a combination of social media and working on a dozen different tasks in a day

Those things are all typical ADHD symptoms. I don’t know whether they are exclusive to ADHD or if it could be something else.

Sounds like me + getting up every 5 mins when I’m bored / can’t focus on the task that isn’t stimulating.

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. Constantly thinking I’m trash, in a bad person, etc. Feeling guilty for things idek if I should feel guilty about. This is a privileged problem and I know it’s minuscule to compared to the actual struggles of so many people in the US and abroad. Just wondering if anyone has felt this as well and if so, how do you get rid of that self hatred?

Past 3 days haven't worked a bit ,felt disappointed and am feeling depressed, it would have been my first abroad visit and the Visa is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

Anyone else have a need to exercise daily? A lot of people judge me in a negative way and in reality it is because my ADHD brain needs it. 1) the consistency for schedule 2) exercise can help tone down the symptoms before I sit down for the work day 3) it is the only thing I can control to make it look like I am not a mess (disorganization, interrupting) - basically trying to stay in the game at work based on perception of “having it together”. Just wondering if anyone faces the challenges.
