Do companies ever call you to tell you they won’t be moving forward with you in the interview process? I finished final rounds with a company last week, followed up today, they asked to get on a “quick call”, wouldn’t see why they would waste their time to give me bad news, but also don’t want to get my hopes up..

I've been interviewing with another company for about a month. The whole process has been 3 interviews over a months time. I have been in my current role over 6+ years (as HR mgr) and it's very transactional and not very strategic. The new company wants someone to lead a team from a senior level (HR Director) - what advice do you have for taking the next step in my career? I'm likely going to take the offer if it comes.

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either.
