Do ex-mckinsey folks like to carry mckinsey-style interviews/structure into other jobs? I have an interview coming up at a tech consulting firm (think of Accenture, IBM, Capco etc...) with someone who used to be an EM at Mckinsey. I won’t be doing a case, it’ll be a behavioral interview but wondering if it’ll help for me to prepare for it as if I’m preparing for Mckinsey PEI?

How long does it take to hear back from McKinsey after applying for an experienced position? I applied on 3.11 and haven’t heard back and the status says in progress. Is that a bad sign? TIA

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
