Do firms hire MBA grads as generalists only or is it possible to join a specific practice? For example, the customer strategy practice at big 4 or MBB

Any big 4 recruiters out there? Looking for a staff/senior level FDD role. Have 3 months of deals experience currently and 2 years audit/aas.

At some Big 4 companies there is a Partner / Principal group that has equity and are part owners of the business and an equivalent Managing Director group that does not have equity and are essentially employees.

How does it work at McKinsey / Bain ? Do those same distinctions exist across partner types, owner vs non owner?

Hello, Am confused with a few optns in my career growth. I have 2 offers in hand 1 from a tier 3 or tier 4 comp nt a start up. They're offering me a good package with so many career benifits like an onsite, opportunity, certification n good technology exposure. Expected salary for a first year JD Tax Associate (KJD so no legit work experience besides summer internships) at an accounting firm in a large expensive city (NY, LA, SF, Chicago)? Big 4 or BDO/RSM/Baker Tilly etc.

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification.
